King Charles Spaniel come in a range of personalities. Some are quiet and sedate, while others are active and rowdy. You never know whether this dog will start barking if someone comes to the door. This makes them bad watchdogs. Of course, there are exceptions, some Spaniels will inform you of each noise in your neighborhood. King Charles Spaniel Colors, Shedding, Full Size and Average Weight

The King Charles Spaniel has medium-length coat, silky to the touch and a bit wavy. Adult individuals have feathering on their chest, ears, feet, legs, and tail. These dogs come in four different colors. The first one is Blenheim. It is a chestnut on a white background. On dogs of this coloring you can notice a dot called a lozenge. Usually it is located on top of the forehead. Black and tan includes black with tan markings on the cheeks, over the eyes, on the chest, inside the ears, on the legs and underside of the tail. Tricolor includes black markings on a white coat, as well as tan markings on the cheeks, over the eyes, and on the underside of the tail. Ruby is a solid rich reddish-brown without any white spots. The most common color is Blenheim. King Charles Spaniels are easy to maintain. Comb or brush your pet three or four times a week. Bathe him as necessary. If your dog likes to play outdoors and then lie on your bed, bathe him weekly. These dogs are average shedders. They don't require trimming or clippering. This type of Spaniel is from 12 to 13 inches tall and weighs 13 to 18 pounds.
